Preschool Scholarships

The program is dependent funding allocation to BVCS Early Childhood Iowa.

BVCS Early Childhood Iowa offers preschool tuition support for children residing in Buena Vista, Crawford, and Sac Counties who are attending a 3-year or 4-year-old preschool program.  Applications will be processed and approved based on financial need.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Families household income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty level.
  2. Children attend a 3-year or 4-year-old preschool program.
  3. Preschool must have an agreement on file with the BVCS Early Childhood Iowa office.
  4. Children must turn 3 or 4 by September 15, of the school year submitting the application for.
  5. Based on the parents/guardians income at or under 160% of Federal Poverty Level may be asked to apply for Child Care Assistance, if the program is eligible to accept Child Care Assistance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Parent/Guardian must fill out the Preschool Scholarship Application and return form to the  preschool you wish to attend or the address listed on the application.
  2. Parent/Guardian must attach proof of income – copies  one of the following:
    • paystubs (for a one month time frame),
    • last years tax return (page one and two with social security numbers unreadable),
    • Sign and date the application.
  3. Parent/Guardian may be asked to fill-out a survey at the end of the year provided by BVCS Early Childhood Iowa.
